WHAT A SURPRISE!!!!

So, true story. I'm laying down in my bed, reading Russel Simmons book Super Rich when I got an alert on my phone from Twitter. "hummmm..." I thought, " I'm just now starting this Twitter account     ( I'm NOT a big fan of social media AT ALL...sorry...I'm old school...if you want to talk to me you can call or text me....but I was pressured into staring one by one of my good friends, so I was like ok sure...whatev...)  so who is trying to contact me????" I looked at my phone and saw it was a really good friend from sometime ago. I smiled, read the message that read " I'm so PROUD of you!!! and i miss you!!" I smiled, put down my phone and hopped in the shower. While i was getting my clean on, the message popped up in my head again "What did he mean by he was "Proud" of me....what did I do to make him proud?????" So, after I was done with my scrub down, I went back to my phone and responded, " No, I'm proud of YOU! ;) " then he tweeted me back "LOOKY here" with a link attach to the tweet. I clicked on it and.....WOW! there I was on SANKOFANYC Tumblr site! (click here -------> sankofanyc.tumblr.com Along with 450+ likes, re blogs and notes! I had no Idea that this picture would get around so quick! Geez! But I'm glad it did!!!  ;)

PRINTED EDGE

So..... guess who made it on Essence.com Street Style Best dress list???!!!  Whoooop Whooop!!!! They named my get up "Printed Edge" I can say I totally agree :) Wow, I didn't think this ensemble would be garner this much attention, but non the less it did! I had such a good Time in NYC, everybody was dressed to the 9's from head to toe...i felt in good company. From jumping from train to Metro train, Conney Island, The Rooftop Parties, getting a fantastic massage in Manhattan, NYFW, dinning at the oh so poppin' restaurant Budakahn and attending the West Indies Parade in Brooklyn I can definitely say I had a ball!!! There's so much energy out there, you can REALLY feel it in the air. I stayed in Washington Heights at a good friends house while I was there and I absolutely loved it. Now I see how Carey Bradshaw and her friends felt out here in this "Concrete Jungle Where dreams are made of" :)

So...I just have to say...NYFW was soooo much fun!!!! Here I am at the Lincoln Center hamming it up for the cameras! lol Say cheese! ;)

Life is looking up...Lift off!

So this is still very weird not talking to anybody yet ( i still have NO followers! lol) but it's getting easier and easier talking to...myself I guess! Anyway, There's a lot of things coming up that I'm SUPER Excited about like my T-Shirt line "Lift Off" New York Fashion Week and the Debut of The Embrace Fashion Cover styled by none other than...me. I'm also toying with the idea of moving to NY VERY soon. It a little scary...wait...who am I kidding...it's VERY scary!!!lol I have to add I hate the cold (I'm SUCH a Cali girl!) Will I like it there? Can I AFFORD to live there? Will i fit in? Will I get home sick? All I know is I have to put COMPLETE faith in God. He will protect and guide me. I feel like I need a change, something to stir the creative juices. What I can thank God for is my friends and family...they are here with me 100%. Pushing me to be my best! If all else fails...they got my back! So I guess I shall say,Washington Heights, NY...HERE I COME!!!! :)

P.s When I do get there and I have to "thug it out" though the harsh winters, I WANT THIS COAT!!!!!!!!! fugg it..I want the whoooole look!!!!!

Random thoughts from Christian...

Never underestimate the power of maturity. Maturity is something that ALOT of people don't posses....why you ask? because it requires one to be selfless. It requires being considerate, focused and smart. Always stay positive, it know it's easier said than done, but I promise you, positivity births the best results in life. I'm learning so much at this point in my life, and I thank God because he is making me better person with all these lessons he's throwing at me. In my Forrest Gump voice" and that's all I have to say about that."
